October 14-15 2024 – Brains to bookshelf conference
M. K. Sholund presented a dynamic workshop on Flash Fiction – What is Flash Fiction and How Writing Flash Can Help You Become a Better Writer at the Brains to Bookshelf 2023 – The Maryland Writers Conference held at the Baltimore Hilton BWI.

M.K. Sholund’s debut Mystery/Suspense novel is…

Buried Secrets on Darbytown Road
A cozy yet dark mystery suspense novel that is a balance between The Devil in Ohio and The Watcher (both mini series on Netflix).
Based on true events, Meghan discovers there’s more to the old decrepit farmhouse across the street after its owner passed away. When multiple new owners come and go within the span of six month, farm animals mysteriously fall ill and beloved neighbors consider leaving just as Meghan and her husband discover strange symbols and ritualistic objects all point to the deceased neighbors house. Meghan’s digging into the areas past, she comes across old mementos alluding to a curse placed on the land by relatives who lived at the nearby forgotten flooded mill town linking to the old farmhouse. She must find a way to break the curse before it breaks her and and those she loves on Darbytown Road.
